As part of the build up to the 3rd annual AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals at Gateway Motorsports Park, the National Hot Rod Association will be holding its highly popular Fanfest event at the brand-new Ball Park Village in downtown St. Louis.

Danny Rowe and Steve Matusek, drivers of the Agave Underground Tequila Pro Mod Camaros, will join the biggest names in drag racing for a day of up-close-and-personal interaction with race fans. The fan-centered festival is free of charge and will feature interactive displays, top-tier NHRA race cars and other showcase vehicles, along with the stars of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series and Pro Mod Drag Racing Series.

“First and foremost, and I think I can speak for all the Pro Mod racers that are planning on participating in NHRA Fanfest, we’re truly honored to be involved,” says Rowe, who along with driving, owns and operates the two-car Pro Mod powerhouse team under the Danny Rowe Racing umbrella. “This is a tremendous opportunity for the NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series to put our drivers and cars in front of the masses and build some excitement for the Midwest Nationals.”

NHRA Fanfest will be held on Thursday, September 25 at the new Ball Park Village. The party officially beings at 6 p.m. with music, ticket giveaways and games continuing until 8 p.m. The exclusive driver autograph session will take place on Ball Park Village’s “Field of Dreams” area from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and will feature more than 20 of the top professional drivers in NHRA drag racing.

“As an enthusiast, entrepreneur and active participant in the NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series, I can’t tell you how excited I am to be part of this gala in downtown St. Louis,” says Steve Matusek, Agave Underground Tequila Pro Mod driver and founder and president of Aeromotive, Inc. “The opportunity to meet and greet our fans is a true honor that I don’t take lightly. The momentum this professional doorslammer drag racing class has is overwhelming and the side-by-side, yet seemingly out-of-control race is intoxicating. I remember when I was a youngster and could only dream of being in this position; now that I am it’s surreal.

“We’re also excited to use this as a great launching point for the NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series’ upcoming television show, which debuts October 5th at 1:30 p.m. EST on the Velocity channel.”
